PRESENTER BIOGRAPHIES:

Roberto Rodriguez is a native of Havana Cuba and is a percussionist composer who’s worked  with many artists like Gloria Estefan, Paul Simon, Julio Iglesias and Celia Cruz. He also has his own CD’s on the New York City label Tzadik for his own compositions. He is the recipient of the BBC Radio 3 2007 “Crossing Culture” for World Music award. Roberto teaches with rhythmical exercises by vocalizing vowels and syllables making Spanish language learning fun. He has taught at HIgh Meadow, Woodstock Day School, Primrose Hill school as well as home schooled students. He is the father of Emanuel Rodriguez-Ibarra a student of High Meadow School.

Roberto Rodríguez es un compositor percusionista originario de la Habana Cuba y ha trabajado con muchos artistas como Gloria Estefan, Paul Simon, Julio Iglesias y Celia Cruz. Roberto enseña Español con ejercicios rítmicos vocalizando vocales y sílabas haciendo que el aprendizaje del idioma español sea divertido y de gran resultado. Ha enseñado en HIgh Meadow, Woodstock Day School, Primrose Hill, así como estudiantes educados en casa. ¡Es el padre de Emanuel Rodriguez-Ibarra estudiante dre High Medow School.

Roberto Rossi is a member of Brooklyn-based Great Small Works theater company. He has toured with Bread & Puppet Theater and the Boston Puppeteers’ Cooperative and has, for many years, conducted intergenerational arts and performance workshops at schools and museums around the country and internationally. Pageants and puppet shows he staged have been presented, among many venues, at Lincoln Center out of Doors, The Brooklyn Museum and New Haven’s Festival of Arts and Ideas. He is the step-father of High Meadow graduate Coco O’Malley!

Roberto Rossi es miembro de la compañía de teatro Great Small Works, con sede en Brooklyn. Ha realizado giras con Bread & Puppet Theater y la Cooperativa de Títeres de Boston y, durante muchos años, ha llevado a cabo talleres intergeneracionales de artes y espectáculos en escuelas y museos de todo el país e internacionalmente.
