March 4 - May 27 (12 Sessions)
(Note: No class April 8 )
Grades: 4th - 8th

Today’s circus is more than quirky entertainment; it’s about inner and outer strength born through cooperation and community. In this class, students will learn Tumbling, Partner Acro, Juggling (many many forms), Flow Arts(Poi, Contact Staff, Devil Sticks, etc), Unicycling, Barrel Walking, Stilt Walking, Rolla Bolla, etc. The Circus Arts are focused on cultivating the strength, body awareness, confidence, and personal style needed to unleash your child’s circus potential.

About Richard Sky: Richard has been involved with gymnastics for 43 years and has owned a gym for 20 years. He has had many elite national competitors. For the last two years, he has coached the 2-time state champion in power tumbling! Richard discovered the circus arts over ten years ago and got very excited about moving away from competition, incorporating new paradigms in health and fitness, and having fun doing it. Richard realizes how important it is to embrace play, and how the circus arts are based on community and teamwork. He was a guest teacher this past summer during our Circus Camp with the company of Westchester Circus Arts and the campers loved him!
