Reusable Art


Mondays, 3:15 – 4:15
March 2 - May 18 (11 Sessions)
(Note: There is no class on April 6, June 1 reserved for make up class)
Grades: PreK - 2nd

Renew, Reuse, Recycle! Students will use a variety of reusable materials we recycle or otherwise discard, such as plastic and glass bottles and jars, cans, plasticware, newspaper, styrofoam, paper, cardboard, corks, egg cartons, milk or juice cartons, etc to make reusable art. This class will be fun, creative and kind to the earth. Class projects will be displayed during our Bright Ideas Festival on April 26th.



About Janine Louis: Janine Louis is the Lead teacher in our Toddler program here at High Meadow. Before coming to High Meadow she was the lead teacher for three to five-year-olds at The International Preschool in Manhattan, where she was also a ceramics teacher. Janine also taught at YMHA in Queens where she created an art-based curriculum for children aged three to nine. She has a BFA from Bradford College and a Masters in Early Childhood Education from City College in New York City.
