Winter Play! With warmth in our bodies and cold air on our faces, we will explore the wilderness skills and crafts that are borne of the dormant season: shelter building, fire-making, and outdoor cooking, tracking animals through the snow, sharing stories and jumping into the games and play that deepen relationship with the natural world while keeping our body-fires burning bright. Though it may seem quiet and still out there, life continues to abound even in the coldest months – there is no shortage of mysteries to captivate our attention, to incite our curiosities, and to activate our creativity and play. Let’s dive in!
