About Mark Ressl: Mark has over a decade of experience and has engaged carpentry from every side – sawmills, architectural design, movie set construction, tiny home building – and the most fun, education. His passion is designing and leading exciting woodworking programs for all ages. Mark is currently teaching with Cornell Cooperative Extension, Camp Young Judea Sprout Lake, and the Workshop Independent Middle School in Brooklyn.
Woodworking and Carpentry for Kids
Building Basics - Ramp it Up! is an exciting after school program for High Meadow students who want to learn the basics of building with hand tools! This class is focused on each student learning how to safely and properly use hand tools such as hammers, drills, handsaws, tape measures, levels, chisels, and more... Students complete personal projects and collaborate as a team to design and build increased accessibility into their school and community! The class explores topics of inclusion and accessibility challenges. This hands-on woodworking curriculum full of creating, learning, and collaboration!
